I think my only obstacle would be getting four batteries in the back end and only having a 3-bank charger. I'd also have to remove the battery tray and install a longer one. I'm frustrated with my 24v system unless the water is absolutely still; like that ever happens on ND waters! I have an opportunity to pick up a 36v motor used very little. Because of the electrical wiring connectors jumpers in the battery compartment I thought for sure that if I added 36 Volt Trolling Motor Hook Up the one extra battery cable the three batteries would absolutely work.
There's also the spacing of four batteries total and the 3-bank charger to deal with; and then figuring out how to keep all four charged up. Am I assuming correctly that if I'm charging two of the three batteries, that charge would flow into the third battery?? As you can see, I'm no electrical engineer!

No it wont charge the 3rd battery if it isnt connected to it, you however shouldnt need to charge your starting battery everytime you charge your trolling batteries, unless you are running your livewells, radio, locators and what not for long periods without starting your main motor.
Just charge your starting battery seperately, or your 3rd trolling battery wont ever get charged. Live like you'll die tomorrow, Die knowing you'll live forever.

Triton and have always had a 36V system. Thing was a tank and power for days. Lasted 8 years and finally went south last year. I have no experience with the Maxxum, but if I were you, I'd certainly look into the I-pilot for it if it's compatible and doesn't have it. Rarely do I need to charge the starting battery and if you are needing to, you have an issue. Either with the motor charging it, size of it, or age etc.
Okay, that's what I thought. Use a amp circuit breaker on this connection. Now, if you're one that has a big stereo, and think you need it cranking while on the water, then yes, I would agree on a seperate battery with a battery isolater so the motor will charge it but it can't drain the cranking battery. Assuming you have aI believe you have every bit of room in the back that I do. If looking in toward the back of the boat, starting battery is far left and the rest are lined up from there right.

That should make room for the 3-stall battery pack. I'll switch over the chargers to the 36v system and call it good. I'd love to see more the I-Pilot, however, the cost of a new system is just outside of my range. I'm getting a relatively unused 36v Maxxum for a 36 Volt Trolling Motor Hook Up hundred dollars, in comparison. Those costs are minor when I look at overcoming the frustration anytime there is a current, or wind, to deal with.
